Alfredo Sauce

Alfredo Sauce
3 tablespoons butter
8 ounces heavy whipping cream
Salt and pepper to taste
1 pinch ground nutmeg
1 clove garlic, minced
¼ cup grated fresh parmesan cheese
¼ cup grated fresh romano cheese
1 egg yolk
2 tablespoons grated fresh parmesan cheese
1 teaspoon parsley, chopped
Melt butter in a saucepan over medium heat. Add heavy cream, stirring constantly. Stir in salt, pepper, nutmeg, parmesan, garlic and romano cheese. Stirring constantly until melted, then mix in egg yolk. Simmer over medium heat for 3 to 5 minutes. Garnish with grated parmesan and parsley.
