 Best ever chili


2 pounds ground beef

1 cup chopped onion

1 cup chopped green pepper

1 cup sliced celery

2 (15½ ounce) cans red kidney beans

1 (16 ounce) cans tomatoes cut up

1 (6 ounce) can tomato paste

2 cloves garlic, minced

1 to 1½ tablespoons chili powder

2 teaspoon salt


In Dutch oven cook beef, onion, green pepper, and celery until the meat is browned and vegetables are tender. Stir to break up chunks of meat. Drain kidney beans, reserving liquid. Add beans and remaining ingredients. Cover; simmer 1 to 1½ hours. If desired, stir in some reserved bean liquid to make desired consistency. Makes 1 servings
