 Chocolate butter filling


2 tablespoon butter

1 2/3 cups powdered sugar

2 squares baking chocolate

1 tablespoon water

1/2 teaspoon vanilla

1/3 cup heavy cream whipped

¼ cup chopped nutmeat (almond or pecan)

¼ cup chopped maraschino cherries drained


Cream the butter and sugar, then add the melted baking chocolate, water and vanilla, and cream well.

Then fold in the whipped cream, nuts and cherries. Spread torte-style between layers of chocolate or white cake after they have cooled.
