Chocolate Coconut Balls

Chocolate coconut balls
3 squares baking chocolate
¼ cup butter
½ cup sweetened condensed milk
¾ cup sugar
¼ cup water
1 tablespoon corn syrup
1 teaspoon vanilla
2 cups shredded coconut
1 cup chopped nuts
Powder sugar
Melt baking chocolate with butter on top of a double boiler over simmering water. Add condensed milk and blend well. In a saucepan cook granulated sugar, water and corn syrup, stirring until sugar is dissolved. Boil to firm ball stage (250 degrees). Remove from heat and stir into chocolate mixture. Blend in vanilla, coconut and chopped nuts. Chill until firm enough to handle. Form mixture into 1 inch balls and roll in powdered sugar.
