Chocolate Coconut Macaroons

 Chocolate coconut macaroons


1 square baking chocolate

2/3 cup sweetened condensed milk

1½ cups shredded coconut

½ teaspoon vanilla


Melt the baking chocolate in a double boiler over simmering water. Add the condensed milk and blend. Add the coconut and vanilla. Drop half dollar size balls onto a buttered baking sheet. Bake in a 350 oven for 15 minutes. Watch cookies carefully for overbaking. Remove immediately from the baking sheet.
