Green Bean Amandine

Green beans amandine
1 pound green beans
2 tablespoons slivered almonds
2 tablespoon butter
1 teaspoon lemon juice
Cut green beans French style. Steam in a saucepan to crisp-tender. Then place in a serving bowl. Meanwhile, in a saucepan cook slivered almonds in butter over low heat, stirring occasionally, till golden. Remove from heat; add lemon juice. Pour over the beans. Serves 4
