John's Green Bean Parisienne

 John’s green bean parisienne



1 quart onions, sliced


½ cup butter


2 - #3 cans mushroom soup


2 cups water


4 #10 cans green beans


1 cup bread crumbs


2 cups cheese shredded




Cook onions in butter until soft. Add mushroom soup and water, stir until smooth. Mix sauce with green beans, pour into a baking pan. Top with crumbs and cheese. Bake in a moderate oven for 30 minutes or until sauce is bubbling and cheese is melted.



Yield: 100 ¼ cup servings
