Old Nag Buttercream Frosting

Old Nag buttercream frosting
½ cup salted butter
½ cup shortening
1 pound sifted powdered sugar
2 teaspoon vanilla
2 tablespoons of milk
Cream butter and shortening together until light and fluffy. Slowly add the powdered sugar. Add vanilla and enough milk to obtain desired consistency for spreading or decorating cakes.
NOTE:
If you want a pure white frosting then use 1 cup of shortening, instead of putting butter in it. Also use clear vanilla and butter flavoring to taste (1 teaspoon).
You can’t over beat this frosting
If you want a peanut butter frosting, use peanut butter instead of the shortening. More than likely you will need to adjust the amount of milk you put in.
