Old Nags Cheesy Herb Biscuits

Old Nags Cheesy Herb Biscuits
2 ½ cups Bisquick
3/4 cups milk
¾ cups grated cheddar cheese
¼ cup melted salted butter
Mix together until combined. Put on a lined cookie sheet by a tablespoon full. Bake in a 450 degree oven for 10 minutes or until the top of the biscuit is golden brown.
When you pull the biscuits out of the oven, brush the tops with butter mixture. To make that butter topping follow the recipe below. Once again adjust to taste.
½ cup salted butter
1 Tablespoon of garlic powder
1 teaspoon scant onion powder
1 teaspoon parsley
Salt to taste
Notes:
As you know I do not measure. These portions will have to be adjusted to your taste.
You may need to add just a little more milk to the biscuit to get everything to bind together.
The butter will help to make your biscuit moist and helps to brown.
Cheese will put off oil. So you may have spots of crisp cheese on top or the bottom.
Before mixing the butter and milk into the biscuit, put the cheese in the bisquick and mix. You are coating the cheese to make sure you don’t get pockets of melted cheese.
The onion and garlic powder is better than any chunks of spice.
Different salted butters have a variance of salt. So taste the butter topping before brushing it onto the biscuit.
VARIATION:
Add a little bit of parmesan cheese to the butter topping.
