 Popovers


1 cup sifted all-purpose flour

¾ teaspoon salt

2 eggs, well beaten 

1 cup milk

1 tablespoon vegetable oil


Preheat the oven to 425 degrees. Grease 9 6 ounce custard cups or 9 cups of popover pan. Sift flour and salt into a mixing bowl. Combine eggs, milk and oil. Add flour; beat with a rotary beater until well blended. Fill prepared pans half full. Bake for 40-45 minutes or until golden brown. Remove from pans. Serve immediately.


NOTE


This can be served in place of rolls.
