 Steamed chocolate pudding


2 squares baking chocolate

1 egg

¾ cup sugar

½ cup milk 

2 tablespoons butter melted

1 cup all-purpose flour

1 tablespoon baking powder

¼ teaspoon salt 

½ teaspoon vanilla 


Melt the baking chocolate over simmering water. Beat the egg and sugar well; add other ingredients and melted chocolate. Turn into a well-greased mold and steam for 1 ½ hours. (place the rack in a large saucepan and pour boiling water into the pan up to the level of the rack. Place mold with pudding on the rack. Cover the saucepan and keep water boiling over low heat to steam pudding.)

 

Serving suggestion: 

Serve with chocolate hard sauce
