Turkey Frame Soup

Turkey frame soup
1 meaty turkey frame
5 quarts water
1 onion, quartered
4 teaspoon salt
3 tomatoes, quartered
1 teaspoon dried oregano, crushed
8 cups fresh vegetables (any combination of uncooked sliced celery, sliced carrot, chopped onion, chopped rutabaga, slice mushrooms, chopped broccoli, and cauliflower)
3 cups uncooked homemade noodles
Place the turkey frame in a large Dutch oven with water, onion, and salt. Bring to boiling; reduce heat and simmer, covered, 1 ½ hours. Remove turkey frame; cool till it can be handled. Remove meat from bones; discard bones. Remove meat from bones; discard bones. Remove onion from broth. Add turkey meat, tomatoes, thyme, and oregano to the broth. Stir in fresh vegetables. Bring to boiling. Reduce heat; cover and simmer for 45 minutes. Add uncooked homemade noodles, simmer, uncovered, 8 to 10minutes or till noodles are done. Makes 12 servings.
