Chocolate Syrup Brownies

Chocolate syrup brownies
1 egg
1 cup brown sugar packed
¾ cup chocolate flavored syrup
1½ cup flour
¼ teaspoon baking soda
Dash of salt
½ cup butter melted
¾ cup chopped pecans or walnuts
Beat the egg and add the sugar and chocolate syrup. Sift the flour, baking soda and salt together, and add to the sugar mixture. Then fold in the butter and the nutmeats. Spread in a well-greased shallow baking pan (9 inch square) and bake in a 350 degree oven for 35 to 40 minutes. Cut while still warm into small squares.
NOTE
You may want to frost the brownie with a buttercream frosting.
